Contact your Senator. Sadly, anything that is part of the DHS (which includes ICE) is hopelessly screwed up. History will fault Dubya for the horrible reorg of DHS after 9-11. Most of the domestic uproars that you've read about, from security leaks to FEMA woes to illegal immigration, have come from DHS.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

There is nothing to make it faster. The process is what it is. You'll just have to wait your turn like everybody else does.
4 :
There really is no way to speed up the process.

She should get her passport and travel over here on "vacation" and just stay while you get the forms worked out.

I have no idea, but I would like to retire in the caribbean. So this is a good question for me to keep tabs on. Thanks

You don't need money there, just some rice. That's all!

There are many American citizens who live outside the country while retired. This is because the cost of living is usually much less than that in America. At this time, Vietnam's cost of living is approximately 1/8th that of living in America. You can live comfortable on about $300/month in Vietnam where you could barely live a week on that in America. That in mind, you can see why it is very attractive to live aborad while retired. How most retired people are able to live in another country is rather simple. They maintain their U.S. citizenship, a U.S. address, pay their U.S. taxes and regularly travel back to the U.S. to pick up their mail and/or retirement checks. If planning to live in Vietnam, you will need to make sure your visa will be valid long enough to stay as long as you are there. Vietnam had given the U.S. favored nation status a few years ago (although the favor has not been reciprocated as of yet), which will make it relatively easy to stay there as long as you want. Have a good retirement!

Probably at a sports store but I think you can also order them online.
3 :
try saigon square or ben than market
4 :
There is a place just across the street from the ben than market that has good quality north face and other packs for a better price than you can get them in the market.
5 :
Well, if you can't find them and you live in Saigon, I don't know how we poor, schmoes back here could help. lol If you don't get an answer here, you could try to contact the American Chamber of Commerce in either Saigon or Hanoi. Good luck
