Why are age and sex discrimination still practiced throughout Asia

Why are age and sex discrimination still practiced throughout Asia?
I am an American living in the Philippines. I used to live in Vietnam. It seems so strange to me that they get so hung up on age. You never see anyone over 30 doing a public job. No wonder everyone looks so young. They are young!

No idea. Personally i would never want to live in an enviorment like that. And im 20!
2 :
They think that younger people are more efficient and, out of respect, they don't think older folks should do certain jobs. Also, most older folks are well-taken care of by their families and they usually stay home to help raise the grandchildren.

It's out of respect for the older ones and because women are weak. Never mind that service suffers in the long run. No one from Asia believes how old the flight attendants are in America. Or that people retire from the military to start another job. It kills the economy. You need to put older people to work. Stop forced retirement at any age. Let people work until they drop dead of old age (if that's what they want to do). In most of Asia that's illegal. You can learn a lot from the older ones. And you can get a lot of service from them. So what if a boss is younger than an employee? Yeah, that's not respectful, is it?

Why are certain web sites or videos on the web not available in my section of the world

Why are certain web sites or videos on the web not available in my section of the world?
I live in Vietnam and I just tried to look at a Video that had to do with Tiger Woods. Not something that would be censored. It stated that the video was not available in my "AREA" Whats up?

Its a Copyright thing.
2 :
Some sites are blocked on some countries, including the one you're viewing on. Which probably have some legality issues.
3 :
ask your country they block all kinds of strange stuff ---it is political
4 :
The Creator or the Uploader of the Video has made it unavailable for certain regions. Vietnam falls within that region. Neither you, nor your country can do anything to view that video. Except to ask the creator / uploader to change the video settings. Just search for another copy of the video, or look for another source.

2 possibilities I can think of: - The video is actually not available. The website displays the message to "cheat" the visitors. Some websites do this as a trick to boost up the number of visits to their websites or to have better ranking on search engines. - The video is available, but it's blocked to be viewed by IP Addresses. For instance, IP Address range in Vietnam will be in the blocking list. If this is the case, perhaps the website owner blocks it or the video uploader had setting to block some areas, because I think Internet providers in Vietnam do not block anything. Maybe you can try to use a proxy so your IP Address will appear to be something else which is not in the blocking list if the second case happened. But in fact, I don't prefer it, the speed may be slower and it's complex. It's better to look for another source.
