Many Chinese left China at that time because of political and economic situation. After II World War, there was a civil war between nationalists (Tchang Kai Chek) and the Chinese Communist party (Mao). In 1949 China became communist with Mao as a leader. Between 1950 and 1960 China suffered terrible starvation and unrest. So many people tried to fly to neighbouring countries. In Viet Nam, there was already a long time established Chinese community, so it was maybe easier for them to live there.

From Saturdays Thanh Nien online newspaper. http://www.thanhniennews.com/2010/Pages/20100612224504.aspx There's a tiger in the mountains behind my place who likes to terrorise the Ra Glai from time to time. He'll probably be next to go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Javan_Rhinoceros http://www.animalinfo.org/species/artiperi/rhinsond.htm

A lot of Jet Lag is dehydration but you should be way past that stage. This has happened to me before and there is only one cure. force yourself back onto the times that you need. Get a friend to help keep you awake all day long and go to bed at the correct time. absolutely no naps. Just do this one day and it will be over. I do know how tough it is but this is the only thing that works for me. What a drag it can be when your internal clock is screw up.

As Traveler pointed out, you should be over your jet-lag by now. Of course, the heat in Vietnam makes it very easy to nap during the day. What I do when I arrive is to take a lot of cool showers during the day and drink coffee to stay awake. You don't need fancy western medicines if you have Vietnamese coffee ;-)

Your life has two options to live in Vietnam?
Make your mind up and answer this question ! 1- If you dont have money or education at all, you dislike america very much, do you want to go back to vietnam and live there? ( to live in vietnam without any money) 2- If you hava a plenty of money, you go to vietnam and eat food there, you dont know about the foods had been smugled from China without any inspection of quality. You have allready ate it up and get sick, Do you want to stay there more ?

I sure gonna choose either one of them man. Because I lived there, know what the hell it take to make money under communist ruler. They can take always your property even those they don't have the right. Their education stinks, all they do is teach about "Ho chi minh" [ kiss my a$$] Chinese food incidents, we all know about it, even in the States.

WTF are you talking about?

I know one VNese immigrant who left the US and returned to VN a couple of years ago. He didn't like it here, and he left his wife and children and returned to VN alone. You can get "quality food" in the USofA too. Good stuff from China, Monsanto, McDucks, all kinds of stuff that is "really good for you". I suspect that much of the food I ate in VN in recent years was probably as good, if not better quality than in the US (unless you only buy organic, non-gmo produce).
