Cool, your 52 White Male, that's pretty cool. You can call the Vietnamese/British Embassy in Vietnam. Or you can go to the Dept. of immirgation and apply for one, just try to speak your best vietnamese.
2 :
i think you have to apply for a visa before departure. I agree with spooky, contact your British embassy...they should be able to point you in the right direction. good luck to you.

Just make like it never happened, and you should be ok.
2 :
GET IN TOUCH WITH A AMERICAN LEWYER AN TELL HIM THAT YOU WANT A DIVORCE RIGHT NOW.
3 :
You'll have to go on "divorce Court" with this one...call them.
4 :
you have to go there and make sure she signs the papers.
5 :
You need a lawyer to fix this mess.
6 :
You need to talk to a lawyer. It may be easier and cheaper to get the divorce in Vietnam, so you need to ask around.
7 :
You can divorce her here. However, she will have to be served there, and any assets that may exist in Vietnam will not be litigated here without her consent. Get a lawyer. It's not that hard.
8 :
I am pretty sure, (heard this on the news) that you have file for divorce in both countries... an easier way could be to contact the Vietnamese embassy and ask them to help while you will out documents for our government
9 :
You need a divorce lawyer who is used to dealing with international divorces, because laws can vary from country to country. If you don't know of one, contact the American Bar Association in your area, they can give you referrals.
10 :
IDK BUT WHOULD U MARRY SOMEONE ACROOS THE COUNTRY!!!!! AND BE CAREFULLY THIS PERSON MIGHT GET MAD U ARE DIVORCING THEM SO TAKE IT EASY AND TRY NOT TO GET THEM MAD THEY MIGHT TRY TO KILL U OR SOMETHING!!
11 :
Get a family lawyer! It can be done. It involves newspaper publications/legal section of your intentions etc. A n American/Vietnamese lawyer would be an advantage.

What body gestures are considered offensive in India and Vietnam

What body gestures are considered offensive in India and Vietnam?
I am doing a project for one of my online classes, and in a nutshell I am supposed to come up with some different body gestures that we as Americans use freely and openly, but would be considered offensive towards people who live in India and Vietnam. I haven't really found any good websites for this. Help, please?

i read that if you show the bottom of your foot to someone its considered offensive or if you point at something with your index finger or if a woman crosses her legs I dont know if these are true or not though
2 :
- They avoid loud conversations and using too many gestures as it is considered very rude. - Pointing fingers or calling anyone with fingers pointed upward is impolite. - Rather you should use your entire hand with fingers placed downwards. - The Vietnamese are not too fond of any kind of physical contact in public, especially with the opposite sex. - They bow down to show respect specially to an elderly person - They generally do not shake hands with an older person. The young generally shake both hands, if at all they do. - Only the elderly touches a child̢۪s head. - They use both their hands when passing on any object. - According to Vietnamese etiquette standing with arms on the hips is considered ill-mannered. - Crossing ones arms on the chest is also a very rude gesture.

1`.Giving a peck on the cheek is considered offensive in INDIA(especially in rural areas but i can be ok in big citie remeber richard gere issue) 2.pointing fingers 3.not showing respect to elders

See if you can get you hands on the two books: Culture Shock - Vietnam and of course Culture Shock - India
