Yes it can work.. But you have to get the sidekick 2 unlocked.. So it can work with other service provider. Becuase any phone you buy from T-Mobile or Cingular are locked in their network.. It needs to be unlocked in order to work in your local network there in Vietnam.. If you get it unlocked!! Your good to go!! just pop in that SIM card of yours.

Questions about moving from America to Vietnam

Questions about moving from America to Vietnam?
I am Caucasian (an American citizen), and my husband is Vietnamese (still a VN citizen but hasnt been there since 79 and has served in the US Marine Corp). We have decided that we would like to plan to move to Vietnam in the near future. 1. What is the cost of living like? If you were to move to VN without being employed prior to the move...how much US money would you need to survive for a month? 2. Is the paperwork difficult to get in and out of VN? 3. How much do homes cost there? We would like to be able to save enough money to go to VN and buy a modest home...but have no idea what that would cost. 4. Are there many companies/organizations looking for American workers in Vietnam? 5. What do you feel is the best and worth thing about living in Vietnam? If u have any other helpful info, please feel free to share it with me.

It doesn't cost for a house in vn. My grandfather was able to build a very decent house for only $5000.I don't really know much about the employment thing. Good Luck.

Have fun, write if you get work.

1) The cost of living in Vietnam is about 1/8th of living in the U.S. You can live well on just a few hundred dollars a month. A couple thousand dollars can keep you both comfortable for two to six months depending on how large you want to live. 2) All you need to get into Vietnam is a visa. You can obtain your visa from the nearest consulate, but I recommend using a travel agency that knows travel to Vietnam. You will need a long term visa if you intend to stay longer than 60 days. That can be obtained by family, friends or employees sponsoring your visa. 3) Housing cost vary depending on how and where you want to live. There are new developments in Saigon that rival costs in Orange County, California. Then again, the houses get cheaper as you get further away from the foreigners living there. 4) As an expat and American, you will find job availability to be pretty good with pay comparable to U.S. wages. You will feel like a millionaire, because the very low cost of living there. 5) Best thing: The people Worst thing: Trash being dumped directly into the Red and Saigon rivers. I would look into teaching English if you want an easy way to get a job there. You will be a valuable resource for import/export companies being an American and your husband being Viet Kieu. I would look at such companies for more serious cash. Most important is to enjoy yourself and the people. The Vietnamese I met during my previous trips are the nicest people I have ever met, and you will make many friends there. Good luck to you two! Chao Co

What are the chances of a native dog from Vietnam living a long healthy life in the US

What are the chances of a native dog from Vietnam living a long healthy life in the US?
So, my dad wants to bring a dog called the Phu Quoc Dog, to the United States. (keep in mind the dog has had all its shots and my dad did all the paper work.) The dog is native to an island called Phu Quoc off the coast of Vietnam. I, personally, don't think the dogs will be able to adjust to the United States because of the different climate and the change from an island where the dogs are able to roam free to a suburban town that i live in. I would like other people's opinions and reasons to why the dog can survive in California or why it can't. A little background information about Vietnam and the environment that the Phu Quoc dogs live in. Vietnam is a hot and humid place, and the dogs are allowed to roam free on this island. They are hunting dogs and love to swim. The thing is, their fur is really short (shorter than a dobermans fur i think?) and the dogs are probably not used to living in house. The dogs are supposedly one of the smartest dogs ever. So please, give me your insight and reasoning to this question and thank you. And please think about your answer before you say it. Consider the change of food that they will experience, the plane ride to the US, the environment change, and if needed please look up for information about the dog.

Dogs are not plants - they adjust quickly to many new environments. Who would have thought that the Wolf would be living among humans today as the domestic dog? Dogs from other countries come to America all the time, and many people move to and from America with their pets as well. Considering this is probably not a purebred - genetics are on his or her side for a long life anyhow. And without as many vaccinations (until now), there is a great chance this dog will never experience cancer or many other complications that American dogs experience. FYI - dogs have fur that helps them adjust to heat and cold. Huskys are a breed that do not do well in the heat - but I am sure there are Huskys in California.

ok....dogs are much like humans in that they pretty much adjust to any climate...so long as the climate isn't too severe. food shouldn't be a problem, they usually eat what you put in front of them. california can get pretty hot anyway. if they are as smart as you say, then they should be able to figure out they have no choice but to live indoors...its all in training and working with them...training and discipline. congrats on the new dogs and good luck.

shouldn't be a problem with loving care and concern

Dogs easily adjust to change, stop worrying. I imported a Volpino Italiano all the way from Italy to NYC. He was stressed out from the 10 hour flight but, within a month he quickly adjusted with no problems. Sounds like your bringing home an adult dog, you'll just have to do extra training if the dog is used to roaming around and used on hunts. Expect an escape artist and a dog that doesn't do well with small animals. Immediately teach him the rules when he enters your home, the sooner they are enforced the quicker he'll learn. California climate isn't a huge change at all and the dog will have no trouble with the change of food, but may experience diarrhea for awhile when you switched without mixing his old food with his new food. You should be more concern on the flight going back to California, it's a long trip and very stressful for the dog. Several have died especially in the summer season.

Hi! Yahoo Answers does not want us to chat on this site. It's the rule. We would chat if we were not afraid of somebody reporting it. It's a stupid rule but we have to follow it. But you can ask questions here asking how to say things in English and people will answer you without being afraid to break the rules. There is a board called Polls and Surveys where you can ask questions and get MANY answers. That will help with your practice. Good luck!

Hello, You can find people to chat in English in this languages website. It's got a section called "Global language exchange (messenger, e-mail, voice, chat, skype, webcam, msn)". http://www.netvibes.com/babelan#In_English Good luck

Yes

I think Vietnam is one of those countries without a formal extradition treaty with the US. You can google viet nam extradition and read all of the legal ink. Be aware that law terms are vintage nouns and not current popular speech.
3 :
Yes they can.
