Because living in their country is a hard life. They don't have time for beautifying rituals, nor the means. It's not very important, survival is. Vietnam is still a 3rd world country, isn't it?

Vietnam is a very poor country, in order for them to survive they always have to work, cook, and chores. They don't have any free seconds nor the money to beautify themselves for others around them. Other countries like the United States, women has all the times in the world.

That's true. You don't see many obesity Vietnamese women in Vietnam. Right?

I would say it's because of the lifestyle, better eating, clean air and not so humid, less disease and other factors like malnutrition that make people appear not as attractive. I just returned and agree that the Vietnamese women were generally very unattractive compared to Vietnamese people I know in western countries. I have to disagree with the person who said that people in the US have all the time in the world to beautify, i'm not from there but I know they work long hard hours and are much more ambitious:)

Well, it's because in the actual country. Nobody has time to mae themselves pretty. It's survival. They care for children and such. No time for beautiful.

I think most vietnamese women in VN are more beautiful than other place, especially theirs personallities.They are not stuck up as those pretty woman in U.S.

no they aren't any prettier....you have equal chance of finding pretty ones in Vietnam too......
