I have a fiancee in Vietnam, how can I get her here after we finally have the chance to marry

I have a fiancee in Vietnam, how can I get her here after we finally have the chance to marry?
I am 35 years old, I met the love of my life on line. She is 20 in November, How can I get her to the States after I marry her? How long would this take and would I have to live with her in Vietnam before I could bring here here to the States?

This is a question for US Immigration not Yahoo! Each case is dealt with on an individual basis, and as you may not be aware, there is a waiting list to enter this country. I suggest you seek out an Immigration Lawyer, and ask him/her the question.

From what i have heard they dont do many visa's for those who met online.but you can do a k-1 visa and bring her over.but you have 90 days to marry her or her visa is expired. http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1faq.htm k-3 visa is for those who are already married. http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/types/types_2993.html you can either go marry her there or bring her here.

Well, if you've only met on line you can't file a fiance petition for her, but if you do go to Vietnam and marry her, then after that you would need to file an I-130 immigrant visa petition for her through USCIS. It will take them 6 months or so to process the petition and then send it on to the National Visa Center for additional processing over several months and then it will go to the consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. So, all in all it will take between 8-12 months to process before she gets the visa and can come to the US. There's no legal requirement for you to live together in Vietnam, although you certainly can if you want to. Check out uscis.gov for more information and forms and you might want to take a look at hochiminh.usconsulate.gov for the consulate website in HCMC. There's a special services information sheet on marriage in Vietnam you should look through: Special Services Marriage in Vietnam For a handout regarding marriage procedures in Vietnam, click here. It is possible that these requirements may be revised at any time or interpreted differently in different jurisdictions of Vietnam. Please note that the Vietnamese authorities are the proper point of contact for information about the requirements to register a marriage in Vietnam. More information about the procedures for bringing a Vietnamese spouse or fiancé(e) to the U.S. is available on the Immigrant Visa unit's web page
